DESERT ROSE FUNDRAISER FOR MALAYSIA TOUR – 12 – 23 JUNE 2013
The group will perform their fundraiser concert at the Novalis Ubuntu Institute, Wynberg, at 8pm on Saturday, 1 June 2013. Funds raised from this concert will be used to cover the shortfall of R18 000 for flights for the Malaysia Tour. Any support towards our fundraiser will be highly appreciated and go towards our vision of promoting peace and common humanity through our music.

Al Jamiah Masjid Darul Karaar in Park Road Wynberg is pleased to announce
the opening of a Hifz school for boys from ages 7 and older.
We offer Quran memorization with Tajwid as well as basic Arabic Grammar to
assist students of the Quran to understand what they memorise of the Quran.
Why should we learn the Quran?
Abu Umamah (RA) said that he heard Allah’s messenger (saw) say,
“There is no doubt that whoever memorizes Quran and act upon it, Allah (swt) will rear him
and honour him greatly for that, so that he will rise in status in paradise to a level commensurate
with what he memorized of the Book of Allah (swt)” (Sahih Muslim 4/1757)
The Hafiz School offers the following subjects:
Tajwid, Hadith, Quran Etiquette, Fiqh al Taharah, Fiqh al Ibadat,
