Hajj & Umrah Classes

Hajj is one of the five fundamentals of Islam. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims coming from every corner of the World, annually attend the Holy congregation. As the Hajj is always performed in or around the city of Makkah, a general pilgrim coming from outside Hijaaz is scarcely acquainted with its correct performings.

Our Hajj and Umrah Course has two components:

1. The spiritual preparation / journey and worship (Moulana Dawood Sampson)
2. The rituals (Manasik) of the Hajj & Umrah. A step by step approach to the rituals over the five days of Hajj. (Moulana Zakariyah Philander)

Basic Fiqh

This course deals with that which a Muslim needs to know to practice their Islam effectively.

Course Outline

This course has two parts. Firstly it takes a practical look at the five core principals of Islam and the six core principals of

faith. The course draws from the classical works on Fiqh and puts the student in touch with a reliable understanding and expression of

the pillars of Islam. This course allows for a confident, practical application of one’s Deen and fosters a respect and appreciation for

differences in Fiqh.

The second component dealing with faith discusses the six principals of faith and how this results in an understanding of the Creator

that is in conformity with Qur’anic injunctions. It also deals with those issues that may endanger correct Islamic belief as it is expounded

by Ahlu sunnah wal Jama’ah.
