THE TONO-BUNGAY SCHOOL OF ARABIC

The Founding of the School

The Tono-Bungay school of Arabic started in 1986 at the home of Professor Mohamed in 32 Osterley Road, Crawford. The name of his house is “Tono-Bungay”, which is a title of a book by HG Wells. Thus, the school was established in 1986 with only a few students, but now has attracted larger classes, which makes the home of Professor Mohamed too small. The classes are now being conducted at the Masjidul Quds Complex, Gatesville. Only the advanced Qur’anic Arabic class continues in the Crawford home on a Thursday night.

Arabic for the Beginner level
Arabic for the intermediate level (Second and Third Steps in Arabic Grammar)
Arabic for the advanced level (Qur’anic Arabic)
